ALL INDIA PORT TRUST WORDKERS FEDERATION
The All India Port Trust Workers Federation (AIPTWF) is dedicated to improving the lives of thousands of port and dock workers across the nation.
Our work focuses on protecting labour rights, enhancing workplace safety, and ensuring fair treatment for every individual contributing to India’s maritime and port industries.
Through active engagement with ministries, port authorities, and labour organizations, we have become a trusted national voice for India’s port workforce.
We represent port workers in all major discussions related to wages, pensions, allowances, and service conditions.
Our federation regularly participates in negotiations with:
Port management and trust authorities
Ministry of Ports, Shipping & Waterways
Ministry of Labour & Employment
We ensure that every policy or agreement affecting workers is fair, transparent, and beneficial to their economic and social well-being.
Our legal cell provides immediate assistance and representation to workers facing employment disputes, disciplinary actions, or workplace issues.
We also operate a 24/7 helpline to help members register grievances, seek guidance, and get timely support from our national and regional offices.
AIPTWF works tirelessly to create safe and healthy work environments in every port.
We conduct safety awareness drives, training workshops, and collaborate with authorities to ensure:
Implementation of modern safety equipment
Regular inspection of hazardous areas
Immediate support for accident victims and their families
We also promote welfare programs covering healthcare, insurance, and housing for workers and their dependents.
We believe that a skilled workforce is the foundation of a strong nation.
The Federation partners with vocational institutes and training boards to provide:
Skill development programs for port and dock workers
Refresher courses on safety, machinery, and port operations
Career guidance and certification under national skill missions
These initiatives enhance productivity, safety, and professional growth.
Beyond labour representation, AIPTWF contributes to the social welfare of port communities.
Our teams organize health camps, blood donation drives, disaster relief, and family welfare programs.
We also assist in education and scholarship programs for children of port workers, ensuring a brighter future for the next generation.
We actively collaborate with:
Government bodies for labour reforms and port modernization
Other national federations and trade unions for collective policy efforts
BJMC and affiliated organizations for joint advocacy and awareness campaigns
Our policy advocacy ensures that workers’ voices are represented at every level — from local port authorities to national policy forums.
Every initiative we undertake is guided by our belief that “the strength of Indian ports lies in the hands that build and run them.”
Through unity, discipline, and continuous dialogue, AIPTWF remains committed to creating a fair, safe, and progressive future for every port worker in India.
